For the first time in 8 months its running :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I cant believe it I really cant folks

Thanks to everyone who has helped on this

Got to find out why it overheated now. I think a change of oil to 20/50 as the oil light used to come on at idle. Gonna borrow a strobe tomorrow

All tinwares in place now, so im gonna cross my fingers that it will be OK :ok

I just hope my main bearing hasnt gone as I have read that the oil light flickering at idle could cause this.

Cheers :D

Hope it's not that for your sake !

Other causes could be a faulty pressure release valve.

iirc your is Aircooled isn't it - if so they don't have a conventional oil filter (do they ?) so it can't be a blocked filter...

Would I (we) be right in thinking the Aircooled engines are best with 20/50 in them anyway ?

Yeah I know what you mean

It has a normal filter which I replaced about 500 miles ago so shouldnt be that. I will look in to the oil pressure realese valve.
