VW AAZ 1.9 TD

Can someone tell me what cars these engines are found in? Not TDI. I think they are in mk3 golfs. Will they fit straight onto my 5 speed gearbox which Ive just removed a 1.6 Diesel from. I`m looking for a simple TD 1.9 conversion. I`m no mechanic but suspect usual changes have to be made IE sump, engine mounts, Can these engines be turned around from cars and bolted onto vans?
