devon interior help!!

hi guys i got a fibreglass devon wardrobe and over headlocker recently for me van ive laid it out in the van and the over headlocker doesnt fit properly theirs about a 3 inch gap (when its up tight to the wardrobe to the outside of the van) i'm wondering if it could be part of an early devon interior and my vans a 1990
any ideas??

I had an early devon and there was a cupboard at roof level above the wardrobe . not very deep and the area above the wardrobe was open when up top, so a handy place to put stuff I suppose
