12v fridge to 240v

Hi

I have heard it said about changing the element om the fridges to go from 2way 12v / gas to 240v. how easy is it.is there a drawing to help and are the elements easy to buy..its an electolux fridge from a 84 Breg van

easy job once you have the element!

remove fridge , remove straps surrounding the insulation on the vertical tube , insulation is in 2 halfs , seperate it and you will see the hole for the element.

all the fridges are built with 3 way in mind , they just fit 1 or 2 elements as required!

If the 12V is working, just get a 240V to 12V transformer.

You will only need a 10A one,

Then you can have the fridge on 12V via relay when Driving, On hook up when on site and Gas at shows or when no mains about.

And you don't have to touch the fridge.
