Fitting a VW rock and roll bed

Post by bpikeuk »

Hi all,

Bought my first T25 towards the very end of last year, it's an '88 Caravelle in what seems to be very solid condition, bar a bit of rust in the NSR wheelarch due to an old knock and scrape.

I have managed to source a proper VW rock and roll bed in original UK spec Caravelle colour, but, now I need to relocate the locking pins on the rear quarters to accomodate the new position of the seat back.

If anyone has a similar van, and I think that the Multivans had the same beds, would you be kind enough to take a picture of the position of the pins and let me have the measurements from the pin to the tilgate seal, the roof and the floor.

I'm very much looking forward to being able to use this as a simple day van/camper this summer, it's going to be a hot one you know

Thanks

Barry

Thanks very much, that pretty much answers all of my questions, I'll drill out the spotwels and re-wels further forward.

Thanks again
