Re: Headlining??
Hello there,
Did this one so should be able to help with a rather basic description.
Take your time and put a plastic or wood spreader between the headlining and paintwork and spread apart slightly and then tease the headlining out, its basically folded under a thin metal lip then bent back tight against the body again.
This said i think you would need a mountain of patience and luck to remove the headlining without too many scars, mine was removed before i got mine but still had the metal bars and plastic hole guards and from that got a local place to use the old one as a template to make me a nice new black one for about £100 i think
let me know if you need to know anything else
Cheers
James

Re: Headlining??
i ripped out my gammy headling and replaced with hardboard cut to size, trimmed the bit for rear view mirror and covered in leatherette, cost of the job wasnt no more than 20 quid. Looks as good and put some insulation behind it too, it'll be warmer/quieter too. Replacing it back to wat it was looks like a right job and half !!!!
bye bye orange ! hello white !
Re: Headlining??
Hmmmm... Maybe I'll just give it a good old scrub and see how it comes up first. Got my work cut out with all the bodywork at the mo. So I really don't need to add to my list of what needs to be done. Cheers for the advice.
