Where is the noise coming from? Steering wheel area, left or right side etc.?

Re: steering wheel help
Take column covers off and have a looksie. You could have moved something when holding onto the steering wheel and going over the bump.
If there is no play in the steering and the wheel is still centred when traveling in a straight line then I would imagine everything is mechanically ok but would check how secure the transfer box at the lower end (outside) of the steerig colum is.

Re: steering wheel help
Wip the steering wheel off, clean the horn contact ring and sprung brass contact and apply a thin smear of vasoline to the contact ring and re-assemble (WD40 or other thin lube won't do it) it needs to be grease of some kind.
