Mocki Do you get a good signal with inside there then? Looking at this one to mount on top of my cabin as a space if it gets a good signal not mounted very high?

as my high top is made of fibreglass, it is just like the antenna is outside. Radio Frequency (RF) signals dont see fibreglass really, so yes, i get a cracking signal. Its not at its best when moving along, as the digital signals are mostly horizontally polarised and so dont like moving targets so it gets much "fluttering"and ofcourse you need to track the transmitter direction unless you are on a long straight road.

it seemed to be better once i took the plastic nastyness off the outside of the atual antenna, leaving just the sinple loop yargi and amp board, so what was in that plastic im not sure.

OK thanks for this. What the roughly measurements of this anntenna then?

I would only be using my TV whilst stationery as I mainly travel by myself.

ok, mine, which hasnt got the plastic casing around it is 11"x9" i cant be totally sure how big the plastic casing was now, its been 3 years since i perfformed the operation to remove it and i have no idea where it is now.......

Anyone used the Status Omni-directional antennas? They look compact!

yes i have the Status Omni-directional antenna i just stand it inside the hi top and i have had no problems very good reception
