problem with gear selection

hello boys and girls,set off for work today in my 84 devon 1.9dg with no problems except slight clunk when changing from first to second while still cold,when at running temperature no probs but on the way home after 2 miles or so, i couldnt select change down gears only 3rd if il double clutch it and got the revs right,manage to get to my home but couldnt get 1st 2nd or reverse? the van has done about 120 miles since new clutch and a missing part of the gear linkage going into the gearbox,as i said drove perfect up to today any ideas thanks steve.

linkages come off ? check them out underneath at the gearbox end probably
