Have I brought the wrong Alternator?
Hi
I brought a 2nd hand T25 90 Amp Altenator recently to upgrade.
However, it might be me being stupid but it looks slightly different to my current one on my DG engine? Exterior the same but the mount plate looks slightly different.
The code is below
025 903 023E
Could it be I've of brought one for a 2.1 DJ engine?
Nesty

I have only offered it up and it looked a bit different. Just wanted some opinion before going ahead with the work.
What I meant by mount plate. Slightly wrong choice of word. I meant the bit on the alternator where the upper bolt holes goes through to the adjustable slider plate.

WHS^^^ A pic..
As the wbx alts are all pretty much the same shell..
I have seen a van recently that had a Rover alt put on by a garage as they couldnt find a replacement.. charged a lot for it too.. must have been some "richard head" to not be able to find a VW alternator...

Kev the rev that's it. The one I brought is the same as that one inthe pic.
My existing one on at present where the 2 upper boltholes are, seemed to be a slightly different shape then the one I brought. However it should be all ok then?
