suspension question

my van went for its mot today and on the advisory they said that the near and offside suspension mounting prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive now my question is where do i find the mounting prescribed area as i want to fix it before it gets any worse and what is the best thing to treat it with.Thanks

A prescribed area is anywhere within 30cm of the said suspension mounting, best thing to do is go back to garage and just ask the tester to show you what he is talking about..
