MPG???? 2.1 Automatic caravelle

I didn't expect my bus to be cheap to run.........but it only does about 20 MPG..unladen............Is this the norm?? and besides getting an LPG conversion, What else can I do to lower my fuel costs??? :cry:

20 mpg, thats normal

What else can I do to lower my fuel costs......drive it less :D

once you join our club you have access to the whereabouts of the economy system by pass ..
it boosts MPG to 50....


get that form filled!

As has been said fill your profile in :wink:
Give it a good FULL service .. if you can't get it done properly :D
Save and have it converted to lpg ... about double the mpg
Recognise the equation that exists between the weight of your right foot to the weight of your wallet ... the heavier the former the lighter the latter.

Autos drink more...mine is 1.9 Autosleeper manual, drinks petrol like I drink Gin. I was surprised at first, now I just watch the dial moving quickly towards empty :)

For what it's worth.....the last two euro trips I've been on with my 2.1 (manual MV) I've returned a tad over 26mpg (average over 2K plus both times)

this might make you feel a bit better- a friend of mine pulls a caravan (I know !!!!!) with modern 2ltr diesel 4x4 and gets about 20-30 mpg- makes me feel better even thoughit still hurts the wallet. Jack

LPG it is then......Steve at gasure seems the best by far....unless anybody knows different??
No boozing, smoking or ladies of the night for the next year to save for cheaper fuel bills :( :( :(
