Took the battery out and charged it for 2 days, put it back in this morning and it still won't start, just get a click from the rear. Any ideas?

I suppose you've searched and read all the posts regarding starter contacts Andy?
so assuming you've done all that..
tap the starter with a hammer or
turn the key and hold it for three seconds
might be a sticky solenoid
or take it off and test it
