Yep thats abit harsh mistakes happen.

GS wank? I find them pretty damn good, not always high quality but generally reasonably priced.

A good start would be to put an ad in the wanted section :ok

Unfortunately, these vehicles 'aint Fords and parts prices mostly reflect it. Had my first dealings with GSF at weekend - for exhaust bits. Parts look to be ok and reasonable quality. Did make a nuisance of myself by ringing up three days on the trot to make sure bits were in though as its a 50 mile round trip. Worth asking for the discount - parts guy had never heard of 80-90, but showed him a print out of my details from website and he knocked off 10% no problem.

These tend to break at the top of the thread. If you can level off where it has snapped, drill and tap an 8mm threaded hole and screw a small length of threaded bar into the new threaded hole running up through the arm, then you can give the old broken lump a new lease of life! :D

cheerz tata.....drilled n tapped an 8mm thread int said arm n made mesen a new insert cause that was shagged...found a couple a suitable washers n bought new rubbers £8 n 3 hours work......much better than £48 n 2 hours work........................and incidentally i found that droppin the droplink into boilin water for 5 mins warmed the big anti roll bar rubber enough to go on a lil' easier...it was still a pig loadsa grease but helped the last bit by leverin off the top of the hub with a big bar...ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yippee! Well done!
Yeah, a lot cheaper. Did this on mine a few years ago and still going strong.
If the insert you mention is that short metal tube that sits around the thread then that is the main culprit for the droplink breaking. They rust and jam up instead of moving around slightly and this causes the threaded section to bend instead. Needless to say, they snap!
Made sure mine was well greased and protected between the rubbers this time. Seems to have worked! :D
