3rd seat belt

I am thinking of putting a 3rd seat belt in the back of my westy a lap belt.
it will be a bit of a sqeeze as i allready have a 3 point and a lap belt.
can anybody help with info.
I have allready had a look at wiki

Questions
am i right in saying it IS legal ?
will i have to change log book to say carries 5 passengers as at the moment says ?
will it affect insurance ?
has anybody put a 3rd lap belt in there van

I recently put a 3rd seatbelt into my Autohomes Komet. I got a lap belt and fittrd it to the existing mounting bolts. Took me about 10 mins. I have 3 kids in the back of 5yrs,9yrs and 12yrs and they sit pretty comfortably to be honest.

thats a good idea as i was going to get the new seat belt mounting bolts welded.
have you changed your log book?

No I haven't chnaged the log book, I am not aware its a legal requirement. I'm sure its going to be fine for the MOT too. Fingers crossed.
