T25 is not a monocoque its a far cry from the pair of girders that run the length of a T25 that give it its strength.

It might have box section running under (good strong shape) the floor but it is still a monocoque - if it was a seperate chassis you would be able to remove the body easilly. Modern cars tend not to have such visable reinforcements under the floor but vans and heavyer vehicles still do. Its only pickups and HGVs that still have proper seperate chassis, and then theres the Discovery 3 which has a monocoque body mounted on a seperate chassis, which explains why they weigh about 2.7t unladen. Presumably as it has a seperate chassis its that you shouldn't modify meaning you could still change the body so long as whatever went on put the forces in the right place. You can see why with rules like that a can of worms quickly opens up untill oficals just start saying no changes full stop - the rules are drawn up by people interested in paper with law degrees rather than engineering so don't expect anything practical.
