so, except for the usual noises (wind, road, engine) I think I may have something else going on, not sure what it is, wondering what/how to check...
It seems to have a note to it, like engine noise, but I don't think it is engine noise because it seems to be coming from below rather than behind. Definitely gets higher and louder the faster I go. Its not really audible below 40 mph. Could it be the wheel bearings?
Passed MOT recently no probs, so don't think its anything serious, just really freaking annoying the hell out of me, am going to have to replace my speakers cos over the noise I can't hear the radio even on max volume, granted they are "pooh" speakers and I expect a bit of noise but this can't be right surely...?

Re: a bit noisy up front
Jack the front wheels up in turn and spin them, check for play etc. Also, it may have passed MOT but no guarantee it hasn't developed a prob that is, or could be serious. The test is only a snapshot of your vehicle on that day.

Could be your headlight grill. Mine used to make an enoromous humming noise past 50mph. I had to put a couple of dabs of silion in each corner to stop it from humming. Scared the hell out of me when I first bought the van.
