It's those stupid 4 pin hole bolts. Any sugestions? I've not got a extractor for them
The other option is replacing the glass... I've got a mirror but its a new one but looks identical. The glass fell out allond with the trim that holds it.
How do i get the frim off to fit the new glass and trim to the old mirror??

And there's me thinking it was a single rear facing mirror
Cheers for the correction, Ian

Ian, only one mirror for pre 1st August 1978, anything after that needs two and one of those MUST be on the drivers side..

if the bolts are steel then get the welder out and build up a nice head on them you can get the molegrips on, the heat will help to loosen them too
remember to protect the glass and body from weld splatter

Thanks all!
Just a quick update. I ended up making a tool to fit by slotting and shaping a m8 bolt then hammering it into the slots when i got frustrated it didn't fit
Got the 1st out then twisted the end off on the 2nd and had to re make the tool.
Got there in the end though!
