Miles to the gallon
Can anyone help me out,i have a 1980 T25 2l air cooled Devon .I have recently put a new Vege engine in and i'm getting between 17 and 20 miles to the gallon which seems poor to me.Any suggestions.

Is that local type driving or on a run??
Sounds about normal for town/local driving I am afraid.. short stop start is never going to be economical when accelerating a 70 bhp 2 ton vehicle..
You might see as much as 24 on a run at sensible speeds..

Yup same here I'm afraid. Although the LPG makes it the cost equivelant of about 35-40 mpg.

Ya would have to agree, 25 mpg on a long run if your lucky

Is it expensive to get converted to LPG

Makes converting to scooby nice getting 30mpg unless i boot it then its 25mpg!

Dennis, like me you probably find the consumption prohibitive, I soon realised that a conversion will pay for itself within a year due to the mileage that we were doing.
