Leak around coolant sensor on header tank

Hi I have coolant leaking around the sensor on the header tank, of my JX 1.6TD, what should I replace for the most reliable repair ?

have you tried tightening it up or are you sure its not coming from the cap and running down

these do go brittle and develop cracks over time.best replace it and the rubber sealing ring.baxter sells them..http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/index.php?o ... 0&Itemid=6

I tried to nip it up tight and it fell apart - have replaced with a new one from VW, all good so far.
