Radiator feed/return pipes.

Post by t25blue »

Hi,
Anybody know where i can source replacement radiator feed and return pipes, preferably plastic, for my 1984 1900 petrol autosleeper, mine are badly corroded and i think if i pressed on them my finger would go thru! They look very weak and i`m hopin to take her to Belgium, so i need piece of mind. Have tried the usual places....JK, VW heritage, custom and commercial, and some others but no luck.

If you're talking about the uber long plastic pipes with the metal inserts then I believe they are obsolete.

JK (for sure but others too I expect) sell stainless replacements for what looks like big bucks. I recently had some fitted to my Syncro and I think the company that made and supplied mine also make them for the players, perhaps JK? All I can say is that the shape and quality of mine is first class and worth it in the long run.

Other option is to find some in For Sale that aren't toast after 20 years! Good luck...

(The ones I have for sale are off a Syncro and I'm sure different to 2WD petrol and diesel.)

We have the pipes you need here, give us a call if you still have our number or PM and I'll send it over.

Cheers Kerry

Isn't agricultual water pipe the same dimensions? Just run a new mains line to a farmhouse recently and if its not the same size its not far off.
