diesel rocker cover gasket?

Post by lhd »

I bought a rocker cover gasket from GSF and the holes for the studs are too samll as mine have a shouldered bolt. Whilst looking on Vagcat the one they have listed is for shouldered bolts.
I take it there are two different types then?
Has antone else encountered this problem?
Rob.

Ok I have worked it out.......
As my engine is a golf JP 1.6n/a they only have shouldered studs, the CS seems to have used shouldered and un-shouldered. :?
I did ask GSF for a JP one but we all know how crap they are.
I will just have to purchase 8 new un-shouldered studs.
I wouldn't mind but I just replaced 4 of the shouldered ones with new as they were bent.....
Still calm though...just
Rob.
