Eber D2L Exhaust and Combustion pipe Routing
I'm looking to re-fit a D2L to my westy once I've repaired it. One of the challenges is to route the exhaust pipe and combustion inlet pipes. I know from the manuals that I have collected that the exhaust it should be no longer than 2m and vent on the left-side of the vehicle and the combustion pipe is less than 1.5m and should be routed to the rear of the vehicle. Having looked I cannot find any evidence of how these would have been orginally fitted. Can anyone help? Photos would be really good! Many thanks.

Re: Eber D2L Exhaust and Combustion pipe Routing
On mine, intake is quite short and runs directly back from a 90degree elbow connected to the eber and then into a hole about 1" dia in the chassis crossmember. So it sucks it's air from inside the crossmember. The exhaust also runs parallel at first with the intake hosel but a few inches short of the crossmember, there is a clamp to a bit of rigid pipe which should have a 90degree bend here and then lead out the drivers side between the lpg tank and the wheelarch. I'm saying "should" here as mine is broken off here and I need to replace this section. Next to the clamp there is a mount that bolts onto the chassis rail above. On the drivers side there would be a similar mount/hanger. Hopefully you can see the bolt holes for these mounts. They take a captive nut which I think you can feel through a larger finger sized hole in the chassis.
Hope that helps, wish I took a picture now when I had the van on ramps as it would have made it easier to describe.

Re: Eber D2L Exhaust and Combustion pipe Routing
The installation manual gives a good picture of the installation in a t25:

Just route the exhaust wherever it is easy and doesn't come into contact with anything - don't forget to angle it downwards so that condensation does not pool in the exhaust.(otherwise you will have to provide a drainage hole at the lowest point) It doesn't have to be straight either.Ensure you have a continuous gradual rise from the fuel pump to the heater.
My Webasto's exhaust is mounted using stainless steel hanger bands that I made to suit.

Pirate Pete - thanks for the useful description; I'll investigate further! Hopefully it will be more obvious now I know what too look for. Regarding pictures - I know what you mean, only remembered after I reassembled the heater that I wanted to take some pictures of what I was doing - doh!
Oldybut Goodie - thanks for the tip about the drain and routing.

Re: Eber D2L Exhaust and Combustion pipe Routing
Just gone out in the dark and pointed the camera under the van in roughly the right area (behind the eber but in front of wheel.)
In the first pic you can see the intake pipe where the last few cms fit inside the crossmember. Ignore the big pipe at the front - thats one of the 90mm hot air ones. In the bottom right you can see the remains of my exhaust pipe and the hanger. The stainless steel flexi hose ends at the clamp attaching it to the rigid pipe which has been broken off just behind the hanger. The second photo shows a close up of the hanger and the finger holes I was talking about in the chassis rail where I could hold on to the captive nut while tightening. Have just bought a 2m long bit of the flexi stainless steel host from Ribblesdale Auto to hopefully run direct from the eber to the drivers side of the van using the original clamps and following the same line as in Oldiebut Goodies diagram. Would have been better if I could find an original rigid pipe but want to be using the heater safely so went for the quick solution.
