yo dudes....been out in the bus at the weekend 1.9 diesel 1y.....noticed it looses a bit of power torque when its warm and when its warm the missus has had trouble startin,but when she had probs at the weekend i tried and needed the cold start pullin out before it would start hot....what dus reckon..oil change or does the pump timin need tweekin......................

Iggy, I'd be having a look for an air leak on the fuel system if I was you, starting with a new fuel filter .

Personly Iggy I wouldnt bother with a fuel filter change, I would recommend you get it Compression tested,
Because if its losing power / torque when its warm. only means one thing Bores & Rings are worn. How much oil is she burning??. The 1Y is a high compression engine, with a slightly longer stroke, I think the Compression Ratio is around ( 25-1 )
On previous experience of ny own I would be looking for another motor or have a short block job done on her,
You need to have a compression test first then go from there.

that dunna sind too good theer owduck........she dunna burn any oil...and was nice and low on the emissions last summer.....anythin else i could try first??..................or should i buy mesen a decent compression tester and look for differences between the cylinders.......if it is the prob..would oversized rings do it...or would it be a re-bore etc..........................

Before you do anything check the timing belt has not gone slack and the teeth on the belt are not worn.
