Because you'll have no forwards/backwards adjustment unless you have 25 runners welded to the top ... thus increasing the height ... thus reducing space for fat legs under the steering wheel and vision out of the windows.
Martin my honest advice would be to save up and buy a T25 bolt-in swivel, trust me, I've been there

As above unless you got a set of saab seats whihc are a bit thinner and built in runners and bolted them to the top and removed van runners and bolted em down.

Good point. Thanks Ian. Although in this case it wouldn't be a problem because I only want one for the passenger side, so it wouldn't matter about losing the slide function or a slight increase in height.Ian Hulley wrote:Because you'll have no forwards/backwards adjustment unless you have 25 runners welded to the top ... thus increasing the height ... thus reducing space for fat legs under the steering wheel and vision out of the windows.

Just got hold of a set of Porsche seats coz mine are about crackered but haven't had chance to have a good look at them yet so I'm not sure how thick they are in relation to the originals. I'll have a butchers tomorrow.Ian Hulley wrote:Jack always reckoned our's gave her a bad back 'cos her feet didn't touch the floor .... and she's the one wi't long legs![]()
