It's advertised on VZI, he wants 6 1/2 for it.

Nice, if you like heavy oil.

Thats one I used to look after a few years ago when I worked at the VW specialist, ex Yorkshire one, VC used to be tight although I believe the owner that had it when I looked after it died, then a bloke in Halifax bought it.
It wasn't a bad van, has been painted not too well, gearbox mounting was broken off the side of the box, the spigot bearing collapsed and I put a new cylinder head on it, but we are talking 6 years ago.
The bloke that used to own it until the last year was called "sinkrowman" I think.
It came from a bloke before that called Steve Bradbury (Used to run Huddersfield and District VW Club), who bough a few from Yorkshire water, that was sold on, he had another he converted into a camper and another really tidy one.

That one had a green pinstripe and green syncro and 4WD stickers, as far as I remember.

syncro on fleabay

Post by sinkcrowman »

Yep i still own Clifford, & i am still a musician, had the bus just over 3 years now,
Yes the last owner did die , his wife had to put it in her name to sell it,
so thats 2 p/owners and it only has 3 previous on l/book the other i presume being the w/board.
Wondered when it would come to light on here, just didn't want slagging off.
Anyways he has had:-
a engine rebuild
gearbox
front diff
clutch
just fitted a vc supplied on 16/5/2006 from syncro nutz
oh, & the diff lock mech's have just been stripped & freed
and what ever else he has needed.
any way as Simon says anything is worth what anyone is willing to pay.
BY the way the red syncro went to Bristol to a guy call Jose ,that was a really nice caravelle Bob,
camper now sold thanks guys
