the front doors were a piece of cake to be honest just fit the solenoid into the channel next to the pushrod, or where ever confortable for you, sliding door is another matter check this, hope it helps

Vans fitted with OE CL have a spring loaded connector on the front edge of the sliding door that makes contact when the door is closed.
Early Polos and Golfs used a similar connector for heated rear screen and wiper connections, I'm sure other cars had similar systems.
