High beam indicator light

Post by Kwinpenny »

Hi again all.

With the head lights on, my high beam indicator in the dash lights up on dipped, and goes off on high! I first thought the connectors could be on wrong, but on checking the bulb only fits one way (its the 3 point connector where the 2 side spades are vertical, and the top one is horizontal above and between the other two)

any clues? do I leave it as is, or snip and change wires???

Thanks in advance

:ok

Looks like you have the early fuse box with ceramic fuses, possibly someone has swapped the the wires over in the fuse box. The blue with white trace wire for the main beam warning light should connect to one of the terminals on fuse 5 which should have the white wire for one of the main beam headlight going to it.
