roll out ( caravanstore ) awning
looking to put an awning on the van this year prior to my trip to Portugal.
Last year in spain is was v.hot and some shade would have been appreciated !!
Needs to be attached and no sides as aires campming is what we do !!
Any body got any experience of the caravanstore type roll out awning, a friend has a windout one in an aluminium box on his T25 , nice but way to expensive for me to buy.
cheers

Re: roll out ( caravanstore ) awning
we use one, attaches to the hightop by a piece of awning rail, easy to put up and away again, easy to remove when your not using it. Our is 2.8m but 3m will fit at a push

Could you use a flexible sealant to attach a figure 8 strip to you guttering Gandalf? Might work, it seems to hold Hi tops in place..
What a long strange trip it's been

You buy some brackets that fix to your gutter raising it up a tad, again they are very good.

Jed's is a Fiamma F35 Pro, not a Fiamma Caravanstore.
Caravanstore is in a vinyl zippered bag..
http://www.agentfiamma.co.uk/erol.html# ... Dfirefox-a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and requires a rigid surface entire the length.
F35 is in a rigid case.
http://www.agentfiamma.co.uk/erol.html# ... Dfirefox-a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and uses mounts.
Both roll up the same.

Re: roll out ( caravanstore ) awning
The one like mine has the longer legs too so you can fit the feet to the side of the van. Kev the rev has the one in the bag and the legs are shorter.

Re: roll out ( caravanstore ) awning
Thanks Jed. didn't know they had different length legs.
Is yours the 2.5m with 3 piece legs?
FWIW, 2.8 + metre sizes have 2 piece legs.

Re: roll out ( caravanstore ) awning
Mine is the 2.5m one, any bigger and the brackets that hold the feet would be fastened to the door and not only would they look odd i also wouldnt be able to open the door while parked up.
