Re: my t25 killing coils
Is it the std ignition system and what coil are you using? the "beetle/older Aircooled" coils are suitable with the jigher capacity systems fitted to T25's..

Re: my t25 killing coils
as far as i know it std vacuum advance with module when it blewthe first coil that had been on there for however long lol then put a new 12v bosh one on and killed that within 20mins of running ill get some pics up of whats there mite be helpfull

Re: my t25 killing coils
as above make sure if you have points ( should not have with a t25) then you need a points coil
electronic ignition then make sure you have an ignition coil for elctronic ignition.
if you have gone an bought a coil for electronic ignition not knowing the type, thenmake sur it does not say 'only use with ballast' on it anywhere!
our vans do not have ballast and the coil will become u/s very quick.
make sure the coil is dead and not another part of the system. did the coil get hot?

Re: my t25 killing coils
where did the coil come from?
the coil visually looks like an Aircooled 'BOSCH BLUE COIL' what they fitted with the 009 when you were trying to get good sparks from the points system
try one from a t25 although you may have fried the dizzy/ ignition amp.
the little box behind the ignition amp with 2 plugs on it , pull the plugs aprt and connect them to each other rather than into the box.
