Oddball Westfalia interior

Post by poshbuggers »

I've just bought what appears to be an early Westfalia interior in the 'Westfalia Joker 2 (with rear wardrobe)' pattern. This appeared in early Aircooled Westy's and features the short kitchen unit, small wardrobe and full width rear bench.

http://www.westfaliat3.info/html/westfa ... led_-.html

It has been covered in Fablon at some point and minor modifications made, yet it appears reasonably original. On close inspection the panels are green under the fablon. I don't think this is original - more likely paint over the original woodgrain finish.

My only concern is the hob/sink setup. This doesn't have a frontal LED panel like most Westy's - instead having a similar setup to the Mosaik interior with a small hob (ring front and back) and a triangular sink. It differs from the Mosaik in being shorter (no infill/cutlery/drainer panel) and has a full height right hand door with no drawer.

Has anyone else seen one like this/does anyone own one?

Just had a look at all those brochures. It is definetly a Westfalia setup, but the kitchen block unit is different to the Mosaik one.

I'll post some pictures up next week.
