running problems

Post by kokohutt »

Ive got a problem with my 1986 1900cc petrol watercooled engine. He seems to run every now and again. When he is left to stand for a while he starts and runs fine but only for a few miles then he developes a miss and stops and wont start again. We have replaced the following itnoidems but to no avail.
Battery
Coil
Dizzy (new one not second hand)
Dizzy cap
Rota arm
HT leads
Plugs
Fuel filter

Despite this he still wont run. He started up today but as soon as the choke goes off he stalls and wont start. Sometimes he will run for a few miles and then stop requiring a tow from my dad back home.

PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN AS EBAY LOOKS LIKE A GOOD OPTION FOR A QUICK SALE
