its the bit under the rear side windows, i would be surprised if it was coming through the seams but a load of waxoil would not go amiss . try frost windscreen sealant to seal the rubbers.

yeah sorry its the panel behind the drivers seat with a window above

i'm getting new seals for the windows very soon, water defo seems to be running down that side near the seam (not directly above window)

might see if steve @ gasure will take a look when i pay him a visit on saturday :)

the first picture shows it best, abit wet looking after todays rain!!

it IS probably the seam!

this is actually a common accurance , get anyone with a completely emty van to take it through a cars wash and check the seams.

there will be water inside!

due to the age of the sealer and the body flex

in an ideal world new sealer in the seams is the cure, you need to dig out the old and rust proof first tho!

Hi
I have exactly the same problem in the same place, Im about to rake out the seam sealant as I'm going to paint the van soon so now is a good time, I also intend to treat the internal rust and I have a few cans of tetraseal under seal that I'm going to spray in that area as it can not be seen once covered again.

A small hand held air powered shotblaster will do the inside of the seam nicely (they cost circa £30) then rust protect it, paint and seam seal it be lush for years then esp if u redo outside at the same time. :ok
Thats PEET as in FEET!!!

thanks for the tips guy,

dya think i'll just be able to sort the inside for now stop the water getting in and then do the outside seams later on in the year? or will it be very difficult to stop the water coming in without doing outside at same time

thanks phil :ok

Problem is if water is getting in between joints from the outside then its corroding and the longer you take to sort it out the worse it will be and the rust lifts the seam and makes the leak worse. sealing from the inside will not last long without doing the outside. Doing that one seam will not take long. :ok
