I have an oil leak where the dipstick tube fits into the block.Dose this just pull out of the block to replace the seal below or is it more indepth?

Wish i knew mine does the same, lets hope someone has the answer...........

Mog ..We shall assume you mean a petrol WBX, as you failed to mention engine type

you need to remove the alternator and it's mounting bracket as this is welded to the dipstick tube.

there's a little "o" ring under the tube flange.

It might just need locating properly

But looking at the parts catalogue there is a seal and a fixed washer.. same set up as a WBX

O ring sits below the flange on the dipstick tube. If it's anything like mine it gets chewed up by the sharp edge of the top of the hole in the block every time you push it in. Easy to replace.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.
