Mog ..We shall assume you mean a petrol WBX, as you failed to mention engine type
you need to remove the alternator and it's mounting bracket as this is welded to the dipstick tube.
there's a little "o" ring under the tube flange.
It might just need locating properly

O ring sits below the flange on the dipstick tube. If it's anything like mine it gets chewed up by the sharp edge of the top of the hole in the block every time you push it in. Easy to replace.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.
