unknown starter motor

found in a box of bits a stater motor with part number 0331 303 126-626 any body know what its for please

Can only find a 0331 303 125 listed. Next is 127! That series of numbers appear to be for Bosch solenoids - where was it read from?

will check again - it may have been on the solenoid.

will get a piccy too....wondered if it was T25 diesel actually.....looks much like the petrol one.....but MUCH chunkier, and the nose has some sort of cowling on it, the bottom cut away so that you can see the teeth of the starter.

diesel type has front support like you are describing but is longer and thinner than the petrol one, if it's chunky like the petrol it's probably a TDi car starter, only the 9 digit vw number is any use to me, but a bosch specialist can decode the longer bosch number, petrol starter bosh is 001 iirc

its no good to me.....

the white label *had* numbers on it....think I can just see the 00131....but the rest is gone
