Mv injection on a dj engine?

Post by axeman »

As above my mv is leaking oil it has developed a crack in the casing above the oil cooler, I thought that the seal above the cooler was weeping oil but that's not the case, if I were to source a dj block would my mv injection simply bolt on and work?

Thanks neil

...other than the fact that the MV is lower compression, and is designed to run on lower quality fuel, so mapping won't be appropriate.
But, MV will accept a chip, so should be able to reverse engineer it if you find someone clever enough.
It will go on and work, but won't work quite as well as it should, but because the Digifant system is a great leap forward from the Dijijet system then you should be able to find someone clever enough that's used to working with MKII Golfs that should be able to help you.

crack in the case ? Never come across that before
there are products like k seal for water leaks that are supposed to do oil leaks but I don't know if they work

I have a head to do on a Wasserleaker soon that has a crack where part number is cast into the head, it's like the part number has an underline.
thought it was a water pipe at first, then a head nut, but no, cracked head on the outside.
Deep joy.
New Kolbenshmidt head on it's way from Germany, not much more than a AMC one.
