car ardio power - switch modification question

evening

how do I work out what size cable i require to hook up my car radio to the leisure battery please? I'm going to carry out the switch modification to enable me to choose power from either the leisure battery or main battery.

well it done on ampage rating mate most are 10-15amps (check fuse in back of headunit)

in my villa i have wired as below

this way its always of the lesuire so wont run engine battery down,switch one way gives ignition on/of with key like a normal car flick the other way and its permantly on :ok

This is a much better way to wire it up, enables the stero to run off veh battery whilst driving and when stopped off the les battery, ne need to rememeber of flick any switches!
