tdi / td oil cooler

Post by billy739 »

audi td in our local scrappy with an oil cooler fitted.

lokks like theres a thermostat in the oil filter housing.

would have thought it will be £30 for the cooler/pipes and housing if anyones interested.
rest of the motor is complete apart from the belt/pulleys have been removed (cambelt)

also thres a 5 cylinderf 2.5 td audi still looks complete p reg i think

Jed the housing (take off) that fits on the block for the feed and return pipes will not fit the AAZ (yours). Will only fit a 1.6 but you can use the rest
and just buy a samwige plate to fit instead.

yeah, same as MKI Golf GTI and the like.
if the thermostat fails, you can't get them, if the seals fail, you can't get them either.
Cooler is usually a Beetle one on a bracket, okay but not brilliant.
1.6l and 1.9l oil filter heads are different where they mount to the block so would only work on CS/KY/JX
