rear trailing arms

as above i know the 16inch ones are differnt but a 14inch ones the same as 2wd ones. thinking of getting a good second hand set and giving them the chop to give a little more tyre clearence

Whats the point of that

You run skinny mud tires anyway and even with normal tires on 15" wheels there is loads of room. Rather than keep waisting money on un necessary modifications do somthing usefull like fix your breaks that dont work or get your van gassed

thats what i am looking at doug, chains are the primary reson if this event in france happens next year, also should not be a expencive thing to do as it will all happen in my gararge,i had better warm up the welder, apart from the plating/painting.

what was the thinkness of the steel that you used doug? i was thinking about 2mm should be more than eneough.

oh and has any one get a set that they dont need for sale?

I have the second set that Doug had made, slight issue with one of the spring mounts to sort out though, may require a brickwerks repair section; not sure if I will ever get round to fitting them, I could pass them to Jed at Dubfreeze if required for examination or purchase

Jed the VC's arrive tommorrow, customs clearance took 11 days !!!!!! I'll bring yours to DF ok

Nice clearance job.

One of my mates just cut and shut a pair of 2wd rear arms to make an arm 2" longer than normal (1" longer than a 16") version.
Was reinforced inside with box section and has built in raised spring mounting platform to hopefully give a 2" raise in rideheight.
