Won't tick over

Van started first time today after 8 weeks in the cold (of course)....but once warmed up fully will not tick over. It even cuts out between a slow gear change, then re-bumps.
Any ideas? Could it be an auto choke issue?

check your filters (in-line one and the one in the carb inlet) and the bottom of carb bowl...
Found alot of water in my carb after leaving it over winter.

Sorry didn't realise I had to go looking

...When its warm see what the choke flap is doing, should be open so you can see down carb. Like skint van man says check for water in carb
