Slow wipers

My wipers are operating very slowly.

Almost the same spped on both settings? Any ideas?

i have an a reg.....and the wipers are slow, and slightly faster than slow... hehe

Like the three-position Lucas headlamp switch - dim, flicker and off. :rofl

Right, seriously now, I also have a G reg - the wipers are much smoother, and quicker across the screen. And John's E reg is ok too.

Now, is this due to improved relays and wiring, or bigger motors or less worn motors?

Not that I ma about to rip my A reg motors out and put g reg ones in....if it ain't broke don't fix it....would just like to know. :?:

How do you go on in heavy rain then Em, do they clear the screen well enough?

Haven't had any problems yet...

In fact, in all the rain we have had, I haven't really used the "fast" setting in either bus.

The worst form of rain in the type that requires intermittant....Mark very kindly wired my A reg to add intermittant, which is wonderful!

I had an early air cooled and the wipers were faster than the vann, never dared to try second speed.

Current van is an 83 and they start slow but after a few sweeps they get up to speed, helps if the screen is wet, as the vans getting shelled out soon it will be attended to.
