speedo cable

hi all , my speedo cable is making a grinding noise where it fits in to the speedometer on the dash board end , its seems the plastic end has broken in two and . just wondering are these easy to replace and are the anything i should know about fitting a new one or are they quite streight forward

The plastic end of what has broken ? the cable or the speedo head ?
I'm in my own lill world but its ok cos everyone here knows me !

hi ya its the speedo cable that has broke the white plastic push in type . it looks like it should be fixed to the black outer part of the cable so the metal part of the cable runs in the center , any way is the anything that i need to know about replaceing the cable or are they just streight forward . it says in the haynes manual to line up two marks on the cable to the cable tie . as any one fitted one and did they come across any probs

no problems ..straight forward

just don't forget the little clip on the dome housing :wink:
