Ah.. something I was thinking about the other day... I have a small 60ahr battery (for electic fence's) coz it was cheap and all I needed..
But..
How big a battery needed to run an eberspacher all night?? (when its cold)
I agree...bigger the better.
Eberspacher on all night..WHY ye softy?....I'm only having a laugh with ye mate, only even in the minus 8 we had at Dubfreeze the other year still didn't use the eber at night.
As for the battery situation...an alternative would be to consider two smaller/cheaper...say 54amp/hour batteries, IF the size of the battery box is restrictive (would mean connecting the two in parallel with good thick cable) the advantage being...they could be located in two difference places.

Never have heating on at night - still have to have the roof vent open at -5. The bed and 2 dogs keep me warm - the heating is for when you are up and about not for warming your nose whilst you sleep!
A 110ah just for the eber (should last for 5 days but only tested it for three nights).
2 x 55ah for the rest of the van (including telly and dvd player).
