chargecooler wiring

just got a pace chargecooler the other day and was wondering as regards to the pump. Do people wire it into the igniton or on a switch
VW T3/T25 and Syncro Gearbox rebuilds

Id be tempted to wire it through a relay switched on the alternator spade connector (the one that turns off the red led on the dash)....
