Its basically ordanance survey maps on your pc or satnav. You buy the maps in electronic format.
I have it on my satnav. So for example, in Llangollen i had a 1:25000 map of the area with gps location telling me where i was and what direction i was going in. It also tracks your route, lets you upload routes to follow and various other things which i havent quite worked out yet.
For green laning it is the dogs knob. I love it for walking - but the battery life on my satnav is pants (2 hours) so its not really practical.
When i was green laning with my club (when i had a landy) folk were driving around with their laptops and a gps dongle. Now you can put it on your £40 satnav (and it rocks).
For me, having on iPhone will solve the battery problems and mean i only have to have one device. Thats if i can use my maps i already have. If the rumours are correct, then you should be able to.

Ah now you see that answered my question ..... a dongle that converts my pc into a BIG sat nav sort of thing
