is it possible to have 2 tanks, one for fuel & one for leisure?

yes

However, if you can run a combined tank would be cheaper outlay. Need to ask gasure to clarify this.

Sorry stick with me again here, am i right in thinking on average the Gasure tank lasts for up to 8 weeks running a propex, cooker, fridge etc..... Even if I was used excessively it is a massive leap from 4 days to 8 weeks :?

What the blithering heck!! somone correct me here please as i must have this wrong.

Me thinks some exageration and uneducated guesses :D

Don't have Propex, but have Trumatic B1800 and use a 6KG (10.74L) gas bottle (£17.00 exchange). Winter camping with heater on thermostat and using fridge/hob we get more then a few days per bottle... Did Dubfreeze last year + 2 extra days (used it day and night) on less then one bottle.. don't remember for sure, but at least half of another weekend out.

We do have a hightop vs Jed's poptop and heater runs less then half the time on thermostat vs Jed's no thermostat. Sounds like his consumption rate is similar to ours.

As for all the math of liquid to vapor.... All LPG (Liquid Propane Gas) is sold as a liquid... liquid weight or or liquid litres..

Which weights more, a kg of lead or a kg of feathers.

Sorry to be pedantic Jed but where on earth did I say it costs £6 to fill this tank? average price here is 52p/l so it would cost around £9.00 to fill from empty, and where sis I say it lasts 8 weeks? your usage depends on what you are running.

simple wrote:Yes £££££! didn't pay that much 3 years ago (£120 I think. Although I've noticed propex's seem to have rocketed as well. It's a good idea to ebay gaslow from time to time as they do come up.
As with the LPG fuel conversion, you will get your money back the more you use it and before you know it you'll be quids in.
Alternative is a leisure gas tank from Gasure, larger capacity and goes under the van so you won't loose space inside.

My ideal setup woul;d be to replace the underseat tank with an external one and get a combined fuel/leisure tank fitted under the seat. Is this possible anyone?

Now where's that lottery ticket? :ok
how come the gaslow bottle on ebay is £185 and the outdoorbits is £110.

:?

What he's saying is that a 20kg tank is ideal for T25's. On average this would last 6-8 weeks for running the fridge, stove & propex heater all from the underslug gas tank? Gas from an LPG filling station would be around £6 instead of £45 for gas refills. Costs arent cheap but in the long run it's probably beneficial £275 + vat + £28.50 delivery + vat. Looking at £356 total. You can fit yourself, you dont need to be Corgi registered but he recommends taking the van to a caravan/motorhome place to go a gas check afterwards to certify everything

Sorry I didn't say that nor do I remembertalking to this chap, but hey you can't please all can you, as I said it is about £9.00 to fill one of those here and it lasts as long as it lasts, if you have a 28mbar reducer with only a cooker and fridge then I can see it lasting for 6 weeks or so whereas a 50mbar westy runnig full tilt with propex etc not so long as you found, perhaps we can now put this to bed and stop mis-quoting people and just get the fecking facts right.

Re-reading it , It looks like Jiffies has got his wires crossed and his sums wrong

Steve I don't think Jed was quoting you , apart from you setting folk correct on your tanks being 20l not 20kg

So at least we all agree those figures I quoted from the fella who claims he spoke to you are a right load of shizer then. I woulnt want my mate travelingchick to be incorrectly informed before she got to far in. Who ever said it and we all agree it's a load of bollox.

Now then! Unless I'm going bonkers I spoke to Steve at Gasure Wed lunchtime (Which was only yesterday) Now thats a fact!
However apologies to all concerned as I seem to have had a few key facts inncorect as you all rightly pointed out.
I quoted 20kg tanks & it should have been 20L tanks
I quoted £6 to fill & it should have been £9
Steve did however quote it could last 6-8 weeks depending on usage as I said

Glad we got that cleared up! Apologies again! I think I need to type slower & avoid mistakes
Cheers
