i was aking about a 20kg tank. Any ideas on that?

Weight of gas is 0.54 KG per Liter

so

16KG is 8.64L

20KG is 10.8L

Yes but don't forget you are using vapour not liquid, 1 liquid litre of gas produces 254 ltrs of vapour in air so the take of pressure depends on your reducers, if its 28mbar pressure then it wil use something like 1.54 kgs / hour if I remeber correctly and the tanks by the way are 20 ltrs.

Yes I have fitted one of these, cost about £6 to fill and lasts ages. I have an Autohomes Kamper and the tank will fit in the rear wardrobe (just). My propex then went in the redundant gas cupboard as under the rear seat is a water tank. Works out perfect you will have to think about venting the wardrobe but it's just a case of drilling a hle & fitting a vent, good idea to give the outlet some protection as it's under the wheel arch. Saying that there is a vent in the gas cupboard and any gas escaping should run down the internal wheel arch (providing you allow some escape routes in the internal bottoms of cupboards) better safe than sorry though.
I am also planning to wire in a gas alarm (belt & braces).

Fitting it all is pretty straightforward, 2xhole in the bottom of the gas cupboard for the propex & 1x70mm hole in the side for the LPG filler, which if you go down the gas route you should be able to use for the fuel filler.

If you need any help let me know, I have all the hole saws and once youv'e done 1 it's easy. Saying that it is much easier if you can move some of the furniture out.

Am a bit at the cost of the gas bottle but I guess it's a good investment for runnin all 3 appliances.

Good to hear where you've fitted yours as well - we have the same conversion.

Yes £££££! didn't pay that much 3 years ago (£120 I think. Although I've noticed propex's seem to have rocketed as well. It's a good idea to ebay gaslow from time to time as they do come up.
As with the LPG fuel conversion, you will get your money back the more you use it and before you know it you'll be quids in.
Alternative is a leisure gas tank from Gasure, larger capacity and goes under the van so you won't loose space inside.

My ideal setup woul;d be to replace the underseat tank with an external one and get a combined fuel/leisure tank fitted under the seat. Is this possible anyone?

That would be very annoying. If your'e running a diesel eber on a diesel truck you don't need two tanks. What would be the differance?

Sorry stick with me here because i am confused If the Gasure under slung tank is the same size as the Westy one, 20l like Steve has corrected and lets say it holds 18.5 litres like mine does. If it costs £6 to fill up then he is suggesting the avarage cost of LPG at the pump is 32ppl. I must have got this wrong because the actual average price at BP and Texico is 60ppl almost double the price given . I must have worked this out wrong surly.....

Sorry stick with me again here, am i right in thinking on average the Gasure tank lasts for up to 8 weeks running a propex,cooker, fridge etc..... When it was cold last week using my newly reconditioned propex done by propex themselves in a situation where you would expect to start to use one, it lasted 4 days like previously said. Even if I was used excessively it is a massive leap from 4 days to 8 weeks
