Seeming as you have the luxury of having a set to hand to fit... try them and tell us... I suspect they will be a tight fit but acceptable on the road.. off road would be a differnt thing........ seeming as you want "snoe capability" then it prob wont be an issue..

I swapped back to the winter 185r14's and the grip is surprising.. althougb I do only have 78 tired BHP to play with.... :rofl

Thanks fellas, and for the pics Karl T. Looks to have more clearance than I would of thought.
However, your's is a Syncro and mine is a 2WD, so will the suspension on a syncro be naturally taller (giving more clearance) than a standard 2WD?

Ahhhhhh, well you didn't say & as its in a syncro section I assumed..........(Can't expect me to to go looking a links & such like!! )
Yeah it's a syncro, also my tyres are (from memory) AT 215 70 16. So no, I don't think there is much chance of you getting your 2wd round corners with the rubber intact!!

you just said 14" and its in the syncro forum..

But again, as I suggested, you have the wheel there so try one on the front and rear and put the steering full lock both ways that way you'll know.. but.. the tyre diameter is prob a bit too big.. the rear arms will be tight for sure and the upper wishbones might be too.

Thanks fellas, sorry if I didn't make it abundantly clear. I stuck it in the Syncro forum as I thought I was more likely to get a response.

I'll dust off the wheel brace and try the wheels on and let you know the result.

I run 16" VW Syncro wheels on my Syncro Doka (14) and get a very slight rub on the front with Hankook 205-80-16 tyres. I reckon on a non-Syncro you would lock up on the first corner!

225/75/16 and a bit of grinding if you dislike rubbing up front on braking/turns. No issues on the rears.

Cheers mate!
