re: Sliding door locked on T25

Hi, I'm old, and probably a lot dimmer :D, but here goes.
For a start, I've had no trouble with my door, which I think is of the later pattern and has a different lock mechanism than yours.

Could it be that the "horizontal shaft" (referred to as cable or pullrod in the respected mr. Haynes most excellent service and repair manual,) is causing the rear lock mechanism to reach its limit of travel before the front lock has moved sufficiently to release? In other words it is out of adjustment.

The instructions are a bit difficult to understand, (told you I was dim) illustrations are poor and they refer to a "central" lock which I assume is what we would call "rear" So I do not want to confuse you by quoting chapter and verse. Could you not disconnect the pullrod and release the rear (Central?) lock by moving the rod and then (independantly) the front lock by turning the handle?

FloridaBlueBus,
We are all doomed, we own T25/T3s!

I can only look at the Haynes manual and guess at what may release the front lock. There appears to be a locking hook mounted on the sliding door that drops down into the 'striker plate' that is screwed to the forward edge of the door frame. Is it not possible to work something like a blade or stiff wire between the two from the inside and work the door handle and blade together perhaps while an assistant gives the door a bit of ' Zinedine Zidane' . Release the rear lock first to get the maximum freedom of the door. If the 'buffer plate' shown in the photo shields the hook as I suspect it will, use a drill (and a chisel?) to cut it away enough of it to gain access, you'll be able to scource replacement parts quite easily I would think.

Don't despair, lots of help on this site. (and plenty of stupid suggestions from me  )
