Hello all, HAPPY NEWYEAR, does anyone know whether 4 and 5spd gear sticks are the same, just the stick and ball socket, i have been told it unbolts from underneath, just need to know if same. or can anyone supply, i have 5spd box. cheers thanx. :?

think baxter does solid replacements in the brickwerks. not sure but i belive 4 and 5 speed are different

Glad it broke there! In my experience/opinion the selector mechanism on the inside of the box could be described as being a bit lightweight in spite of the good name generally implicit in German engineering. My advice would be to double check the setup so to be sure that nothing on the way back into the gearbox is out of alignment.

Sticks are not interchangable, Get it cored,sleeved and welded up, they were a poor design from new

has been cored and welded but keeps snapping, darn thing. the only good metal out of germany was slapped on the a*** of a panzer tank. cheers anyway. :ok
